Point #24 - 2010-03-21
the GOP is still so 90s
had an idea for an article here and needed the access records for
the white house. So, I called the GOP at 202.863.8500 and then GOP
GA Senator Isakson at 770-661-0999. The conversation went like this
I need help. yadda yadda Could you get me the white house visitor
records for when Obama was holding his health care meetings at the
response was "sorry, we can't help you"
I asked "Fox news can get the records, why can't you?"
responded "We don't have access to that information, you have
to contact the white house directly and ask for them". Then I
asked how do I do that and they said they don't know.
I decided to contact someone I hate the most in Congress who is
totally the opposite of everything I stand for, Barney Frank at
(202) 225-5931. Same conversation, but, the woman actually engaged
me and asked me why I needed them instead of blowing me off like
when I called the GOP offices.
I told her, and she sounded a bit displeased, but, she was not rude.
So, I thanked her anyways and hung up. Lady, if I sounded rude, I am
sorry. I am just very upset, please forgive me, you were more
helpful then anyone at the GOP.
Barney Frank, I have to give you props. You go on Bill O'Reilly and
are upfront about what you believe and take it on the chin
like a man, which is why I watch the show. I want both view
points unvarnished, which is the only reason I like Prof Hill on the
show because his views drive me crazy.
Frank's office did not blow me off like the main GOP line and GOP
senator line (even when I told them I lived in GA), which means you
picked someone that is responsive to the far left people you
represent, which is why you will probably get elected again, even
after voting for Obama Care.
the record for those working right in Washington DC:
the socialist helped me more, without me asking, then
when I directly called the GOP asking for help. Barney Frank's
office at least asked me why I needed the information and engaged me
without blowing me off. Even when I said I was from GA and why I
needed the information.
is why Obama Care won and this is part of the reason the GOP lost.
