► Is TIGGER harmful to your grand children ? #01

Some of the most massive amounts of waste are through what are called TIGGER Grants aka Transit Investments for Greenhouse Gas and Energy Reduction.

It is another way to shove the "green" agenda down your throat. So, basically in the name of "green", when the country is broke and running the budget in the red to the tune of

-$1,400,000,000,000 they are using TIGGER funds to buy new buses and using the money to install solar power panels to cool bus stands, etc. Or just using the funds to replace worn out buses with new cleaner diesel buses.

This was part of Obama's threat with the EPA. The government comes along and says they are going to withhold Federal funds for not meeting air quality standards the EPA sets and the Federal government passes laws so all buses must be handicap accessible. Then the Fed says "want some free buses to met the standards we just set" so you can get more Federal highway funds?

The amount of wasteful spending is staggering. If you are out of work and had no money, the last thing you would do is borrow money, then buy a new car on payments, and hope you could pay back all the money in two months. Not so the government. So, they can't get cap and trade and wasteful spending through Congress, they will do it this back door way instead.

The stimulus grants on recovery.gov for this usually ends with " and can sell excess electricity back to the power company" to justify the waste. Yea, after spending $10 million dollars, what is the ROI on that?

See, they can justify it over a 45 year period!

The pols will be long dead and your grand children will have to deal with the debt they piled up. In that 45 year period, Atlanta is never going to have a hurricane or hail storm that will destroy the installation? During that 45 year period, this basically unproven technology is never going to fail or need expensive repairs? The company that makes the panels will never go out of business and will be around for warranty work or to sue when the products break down? The electric company is never going to raise it's rates so they can make up for the loss of profit from accepting electricity back from solar power installations it does not own?

Right now cost per job for this one project: $500,000 !

We are borrowing money from China and destroying the USA dollar for this waste. Everyone needs a new bus or trolley.
