NDM LABS INC.
This Small Business Innovation Research Phase I project will investigate the potential of using call log data to assist the telecommunications industry in better serving its customers. Call logs (records of who called whom) can be viewed as social networks, with phone numbers representing vertices and phone calls representing edges. Understanding a customer's social network can potentially provide a much better understanding of their behavior and preference. The technical challenge of this project is both statistical and computational. As the telecommunications industry serves a very large number of customers, their data sets are massive. In the single month, for example, a major telecommunications provider logged 12 billion phone calls made between 250 million phone numbers. The technical objectives are: 1) to further develop s nascent computational platform for extremely large-scale network analysis, and 2) to validate algorithms and procedures, which quantify the effectiveness of operator marketing campaigns. The goal is to create s software-and-services product offering designed to leverage telecom companies' own call logs to help them better value, serve and retain their customers. It is believed that the telecommunications industry has overlooked the richest data in their possession: the call logs themselves. A telecommunications operator has information not just on individuals, but on their calling behavior, their communities, and their communities' calling behavior. A single major operator typically serves over 15 million customers; given the sheer number of subscribers, operators must rely on statistical analysis to monitor customer satisfaction and to anticipate customer needs. Enhancing this knowledge will allow them to optimize their product marketing, to improve their customer care strategies, to more efficiently use their advertising budget, and to anticipate "churn," the cessation of service. The mobile phone market currently reaches over 4 billion subscribers globally. While the past decade has seen significant growth, most markets have reached saturation; mobile phone operators now are shifting their focus from growth to efficient customer retention strategies. This shift in strategy presents an opportunity to apply data mining techniques to call logs, a rich resource that to date has remained unused by the industry.

Assisted the GSA's PM with initiating the Tenant Relocation effort out of the building and into off site accomodations for the duration of the construction effort. Developed Scope of Work and Independent Goverment Estimates for the tenant move as well as additional areas of unforeseen costs that were discovered during the last reporting period (Q1 2010). 7. Reviewed and discussed the Minimum Performance Criteria (MPC) templates with the Project Team in preparation for the current MPC report for the project in early April 2010. 8. Coordinated and conducted a two day Value Engineering (VE) session after the 35% Final Conceptual design Cost Estimates were reconciled. The VE session was attended by 12 Project Team members and identified 122 VE proposals totalling $1.1M in potential savings to the project cost with minimal disadvantage.

OWP/P CANNON DESIGN, INC.
The project utilizes ARRA funding to improve the energy performance, function, and aesthetic quality of the John C. Kluczynski Federal Building (JCK) and US Post Office Loop Station (USPS). It is a repair and alteration project. The original building systems are 35 years old and nearing their expected design life and soon will be operating beyond optimum life cycle operations. The base architectural scope address building core upgrades and includes alterations to the elevator lobbies, public corridors, and public bathrooms in the JCK building on all levels above the ground floor. The base engineering scope includes system upgrades at these locations, the perimeter Fan Coil Units and the Buildings Air Handling systems. Additional smaller parts of the project address energy savings in various other systems within the buildings. In addition the interiors of three floors are being rebuilt to Workplace 2020The goal of this project is to achieve at least a LEED-CS Silver Rating. The project is being issued in eight different Construction Document packages to a CMc for pricing and construction. Each package has its own schedule. Significant deliverables include: Pre-Design Studies, Reports and Cost Estimates; Concept Design Phase Drawings, Specifications, Studies, Reports and Cost Esimates; GMP Drawings and Specifications, Cost Estimate, Calculations, Studies and Reports; Construction Documents Phase Drawings and Specifications, Calculations, Studies and Reports; Construction Phase Submittal Reviews and On-Site Observation Reports;and an Architectural and Structural BIM Model of the Existing Building.
